Treason

Treason 209x300 Treason

He betrayed his country, his wife, his mistress, and his art.… or did he? Treason is the extraordinary story of American poet and iconoclast Ezra Pound – and the five women in his life. The man who was the most promising poet in the English-speaking world – as well as friend and mentor to T.S. Eliot and James Joyce – was also accused of treason and ultimately confined to a mental institution for twelve years.

Treason covers two and half decades in Pound’s life, travels from Italy to Washington, D.C., and introduces characters as varied as segregationist John Kasper and “beat” poet Allen Ginsberg.

Treason explores the poet, the anti-semite and the firebrand, Ezra Pound, who would betray his art, his country, his wife, his mistress and everyone he knew.
